How is usability achieved in the AVoS design process?
In order to find a solution that is both useful and user-friendly, it is important to include the target users in design process. This approach is called user-centered design. In the AVoS design, three research and testing methods are applied. (1) Online surveys allow to get to know the users and create user profiles of the target group. (2) Didactic research ensures that only the best teaching techniques are applied. (3) User evaluation are carried out at every step of the design process. User tests reveal whether users find the program usable, that is useful, efficient, effective, learnable, satisfying, and accessible.
